Mid-Autumn Festival
The fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar is one of the most important Chinese festivals.

In China, the Mid-Autumn Festival is an occasion for reunion. The whole family is gathering to admire the full moon in the sky. The full moon is considered as a symbol of family reunion.

On that day, we usually have a round dessert, which looks like the moon, the moon cake. Moon cakes are varied in China, sweet, salty, vegan or with meat.

The surface is decorated with relief patterns and good words. People who are away from home, on that night, look up to the moon, thinking of their family. As a Chinese poem says: Above the sea, the bright moon is hanging; in our hearts, the nostalgia is feeling.
